Did you see Jesus?

A clergyman is feeling ineffective so he decides he is going out to the worst section of town and he's going to convert someone.

He heads down to the river front and finds a man, homeless and drunk, sitting under a bridge.

He takes the man into the water and dunks his head under for 20 seconds. He then lifts the man out of the water and asks, "Did you see Jesus?" The drunk responds, "No father."

So the reverend dunks the man's head under the water again, this time holding him there for 45 seconds. As he lifts the man from the water, he asks again, "Did you see Jesus?" Again, the drunk says, "No father, I didn't see him."

So one more time the drunk is held under the water, this time for a full minute. The reverend, sure that the drunk is starting to rethink his answer asks one more time, "Now, did you see Jesus?"

The drunk responds, "Are you sure he fell in over here?"
