All in all, not a bad movie. The movie was artistic and entertaining. Their were quite a few parts that made me laugh and Marv was definitely my favorite. :D How about you?

3. looked great, like the subtle anti-Bush stuff in "Yellow Bastard"

...but it was more unrelentingly violent than I was expecting...

4. Completely agree.

Although a lot of the gore wasn't shown, it was still rather disturbing. Did you feel as though parts of the movie were slow moving?

7. well, it wasn't "Chinatown," as far as noir flicks go...

the characters were pretty thin, or maybe, given that it's Rodriguez, just "iconic..." I wanted to know more about some of 'em -- like Rutger Hauer's character -- and we only got a glimpse, in service of the plot or action...
