I'm going to lose 20 pounds dammit
Yes, those nagging college pounds have finally made me get off my ass and decide to actually start working out.
I used to be really active in HS (never skinny mind you- I've always been on the chubby side), and since I started college, despite eating pretty well, I gained 20 pounds in 2 years x(
So, yeah. I want to lose 20 pounds by next year and actually be active.

3. and then gain it back in a month =)
I usually eat well, really- it's just that I practically haven't exercised at ALL (except for a few runs and occasional walks) while here at college...
I don't eat fast food, red meat, soda, lots of starch or other carby foods...I eat moderately. But no exercise = heavier me.

It always seems to help women lose weight for some reason.

11. Second that
I've been losing lots of weight in the last six months (roughly 25 lbs. so far). Just started yoga three weeks ago. Now I have more energy than I know what to do with.

8. Here ya go - sure fire
Be diagnosed diabetic.

Happened to me RIGHT after Christmas.

So far, I've dropped about 25 pounds - and am exercising. Still technically obese, but I'm managing my sugar without insulin.

Let's see how long I can keep this up . . .

13. Leave the car parked- walk or ride a bike everywhere ya go.
You could also take up swimming at the school pool. Take up smoking- thats good for twenty pounds easy! There are so many good ways to lose the weight- and some bad........

15. Ohhh... me too, me too!
Seriously.. I've been hanging on to these same horrid 15-20 lbs for about 3 years now. It's getting ridiculous.
We should, like, totally be weight loss buddies since none of my damn friends have a single pound to lose. Can't a gal get a little support in her efforts? My twig-like pals have been useless in this capacity. :)

19. 3 words.... Body for Life
Get the book, read it, and follow it. I lost 70 pounds in 6 months!

It's nice because you don't feel like you're on a diet since you eat quite a bit and often since your body has increased energy demands!

HIIT cardio can be a pain though, if you like to jog just do a 3 mile run instead, that's what I do.

Weight lifting is essential to loosing weight and keeping it off. A pound of muscle burns 500% more calories than a pound of fat. Weight lifting is for both genders! Just depends on how you do it really... lighter reps and more of them for muscle tone, and pushing your muscles to exhaustion for mass.

Which reminds me, I've been slacking off about excersizing... haven't done anything in a week, too depressed about my friend dieing in car crash, I need to move on :(

eerrr well on a lighter note good luck with the weight loss, remeber don't use the scale as a judge, rather the mirror and how your clothes feel. Water weight makes your weight jump and fall and muscle gain can keep up with fat loss sometimes.
