I LOVE collard greens! I really do. But then, I love Brussels sprouts and red beets, so people already think I'm vegetably strange.

9. John, collards must be cooked right! If you don't like 'em
Southern style, try 'em Oriental style -- PM me if you want a recipe, it's really easy and works for spinach or any fresh greens.

I think it was southern style, I tried em at work today because the congresional cafeteria was offering em as a side.

stick them in big glass pitcher or mason jar and stick it outside to brew, instead of heating the water. Perfect. I have my own recipe for cornbread, but if I get a mix I love that cheap Jiffy bread. 33 cents and it is moister and sweeter than Martha.

Im from the south so I am part collard green. How about a big bowl of cornbread and buttermilk? Hits the spot.
