The Soccer World Cup in Germany 2006 got cancelled
The FIFA cancelled last night the world cup. The reason is that the space between the seats in most stadions meet not the requirements.

That is the April fools joke they brough this morning on my radio show. In the news every half hour. It is hilarious

6. play a prank on her
my mom keeps telling of one cruel joke her mom played on her. She told her in the morning "wake up, wake up, your teeth are all straight". My mom raced to the mirror ... and her teeth were as bad as before. That was really mean.

7. Nope. I'll just ride her all day long
about what she is going to attempt to pull off.

"Momma, my room's clean-April Fools"
"Momma, the dog ran away-April Fools"

I think that you can get the pic of my house in the morning. It will be hell.

9. How about she just spend the day in her room cleaning?
You should see the nastiness that she tore into last night-5 minutes before bedtime. I sent her to bed w/ the promise that she will clean the room today before she gets to go outside to play.

27. She knows to cut the crap.
Of course, I am never happy to be called in-that's why she starts it. I am distracted at the time and she thinks that she can get away w/ whatever she wants.

10. Omigod, I just turned on C-span and JR Bush was speaking
I transcribed it as he spoke:

My fellow Americans.
Last year I was extremely saddened to hear about the death of former President Ronald Reagan. In my grief, I decided to read "Sleepwalking through History" by Haynes Johnson, mistakenly thinking it was a tribute to the Gipper. I finally finished it last week. That book and Reagan's death made me realize my own mortality as well as the fact that I, too, will be judged by history and by God. I have spent the last week truly looking into my soul. I did not like what I saw.
I know that no human being is perfect, but I must admit, in all honesty, that I am a miserable failure. I am a liar, a thief, and a murderer. I have lied about taxes, about spending, about the environment, and about the threat from Iraq. I campaigned as a moderate compromiser, and I have governed as an extremist firebrand. I claimed that my tax cuts would not cause a deficit and that they helped the poor and unemployed, when, in fact, like all of my policies, they were designed to help the wealthy and my corporate backers. I said I would change the tone in Washington, and I have divided this country with fear and hatred more than any other time since 1861.
I have stolen from the public treasury, from the working people of this country in order to give lucrative contracts to my corporate friends, and to give tax breaks to the wealthy CEOs who exploit the workers and bilk the consumers and help to despoil the planet. I have implemented and proposed cuts to overtime pay and services to the needy and to health care and pensions, even for veterans. I have stolen from the Social Security trust fund to cut inheritance taxes on the wealthy, and I have stolen hope, peace and prosperity from your children, and perhaps all generations to come.
I have also stolen the health, and even the life, of the brave young men and women of our armed forces. I have stolen that as well as security and peace of mind from the brave Iraqi soldiers defending their homes, and from tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi women and children.
Yet, it is not enough to admit my failings, and I do not even have time today to list them all. I must also do what I can to make things right. I have taken some steps, although they do not make up for the lives that will not come back. I have fired Dick Cheney and my entire cabinet. Furthermore, I have had them all arrested and charged with treason and crimes against humanity. They are currently awaiting trial and being interrogated in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I will be a witness against them and I have compiled a room full of documents, tapes and computer files which prove their guilt.
I hereby nominate as my Vice President a man who not only has eight years experience on the job, but also received more votes than I did in the last election - namely Albert Gore. After he is confirmed by the Senate, I will resign, finally allowing the votes of the American people to be counted. On that matter, also, I have information showing that both Max Cleland and Walter Mondale actually won their elections and that the counts were changed by computer voting fraud. I also have information showing that my little brother is guilty of voter fraud.
As a man who was in his twenties when Richard Nixon resigned and thus admitted that he was a crook, I am sure that many of my supporters, both adult, adolescent, and children will feel hurt and betrayed by my confessions. For that, also, I need to beg for forgiveness. Although it hurts now, you are better off knowing the truth. I ask you to put aside your anger and hurt, and do what is right for your country. Help to make America a country that once again lives up to, or at least tries to live up to, the ideals
upon which it was founded.

with a wild card or so? I thought you had a good soccer team. Luckily for Germany they have free entry. Otherwise we would be in big trouble ... lol

25. There's a long shot..
.. but to even get to the wild card games, we have win our remaining 5 games - something that most people consider quite unrealistic considering the way the team has been playing so far.

36. Same here..
.. I more or less boycut the Danish national team, because I think our current national coach is just about as incompetent as they come.

I will, however, watch the World Cup once it rolls around - I can quickly pick 2-3 teams I support, usually the underdogs. Also, looking forward to see a game from Arena AufSchalke, as I had the pleasure of seeing a game there in person back in 2003 (we lost 2-1, but we ruled the arena for the 20 mins or so we were in the lead :D)
