Sin City

I'm looking forward to this flick, and hope not to be disappointed. From the reviews I've read it sounds like it's going to be a beautifully crafted gritty piece of pulp, and I mean that in a good way.

On a side note I've come to respect Walter Chaw's (the reviewer in the link above) views on movies a lot. You might want to check out his other reviews if you like that one.

1. Roger Ebert gave it an 'A'
I usually trust his ratings.

2. I too respect Ebert's opinion but find him a little too generous at times

3. If it's anything like the graphic novels...
It will be very "Film Noir meets Reservoir Dogs". Definitely not a film for children, even though it's based on a "comic book".

4. From the reviews it's evident that it's DEFINITELY NOT A FILM FOR CHILDREN
In fact it's one of the more violent movies to come out in a while, more so than Kill Bill it seems. For example there is a side story involving a horrible pedophile. However I don't rate movies like this on a moral basis. In fact I'm hesitant to put any movie down on the basis of morals. It's meant to be pure comic book style, the characters are meant to be 1 dimensional.

5. It has warnings for 'lengthly violence, language, and nudity'
