6. Your boycott is idiotic!
It's baseball dude...Whould you boycott if the Cubs were in? Would that have made it more competitive? Why? The Fish beat the cubs hence they were better!

2. Yeah!
The Marlins won't be intimidated by the whole Yankee Stadium mystique. Let me be the first to say Marlins in 6.

12. Spoken like someone
who's obviously never been to Yankee Stadium. If you don't think it's special, especially in the postseason, you're just not paying attention.

By the way, did all of you see all those fans reaching for Matsui'd double? It prevented Williams from scoring and Matsui from trying for third. If Posada doesn't get that hit, that costs the Yankees a run and maybe the game. In my mind that vindicates Mr. Bartman and strongly suggests that anyone would have done what he did.

13. It proves the fans who can afford tickets to these games
aren't really fans. And also that Yankees fans are as dumb as they come.
The stadium's a garbage strewn dump- on and off the field.

4. To elaborate on what bluestateguy said,
Edited on Thu Oct-16-03 11:41 PM by Loyal
This series is so LBJ vs Goldwater.

This series is so Nixon vs Mondale.

This series is so FDR vs. Hoover(1932).

This series is so FDR vs. Landon(1936).

This series is so FDR vs. Wilkie(1940).

This series is so FDR vs. Dewey(1944).

:)

Sorry, bro, but the Yanks are going to take this series. I predict a 4-0 sweep, or at least a 4-1.

8. I wouldn't be too overconfident
Sure, the odds have to favor New York. But I've seen Florida overcome too many obstacles this postseason to dismiss them. I think they'll win, but that has a little to do with my being from South Florida. :)

11. Taylor good luck to the Marlins
I wanted the orioles to go all the way but got knocked out, then the cubs and red sox. You guys are the only hope of :) freedom loving people everywhere. Remember in 1997 the Marlins a mere wild card beat the first place Cleveland indians who had btw knocked out my orioles.

9. So Nixon vs. McGovern In More Ways Than One
http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/george1.html

Excuse us if we sit out the coronation of the New York Yankees. Yes, The Smoking Gun lives in New York City. But we just can't stomach George Steinbrenner. Next to Donald Trump and Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, "The Boss" is the Big Apple's most odious creature. Here's a couple of our favorite Steinbrenner documents, filed in connection with his successful plea for a pardon from his Nixon-era criminal convictions. That absolution was granted by Ronald Reagan in January 1989, two days before The Gipper crept out of Washington. :puke:

19. Having attended at least 10-15 games a year
For the last 8 or 9 years or so, I can attest that the Marlins have real fans. Something the Yankees will learn when the thunderous sound of the stadium formerly known as Joe Robbie drowns out any ability they have to concentrate :)

17. If I were to place a bet I would've said
Giants over Marlins in 4.

Cubs over Marlins in 6.

I am picking the Marlins because I would've been wrong in my first two trys and I am sure 75% of the US would've been wrong about the Marlins.
