Yankees, yet again, and an expansion team, yet again.

Is there any reason to care?

6. Yes, there is.
Great baseball will be played. And you're not going to see baseball at all until late February, afterward.

32. Speaking of a bore.
The NBA has turned a great sport into yawn city. Thank goodness there is still some great college ball out there.

10. Who cares? No Cardinals!
I really don't care but I will want the Marlins to win. I think they're the better story. I find them an easy team to cheer for. You can tell they are having fun playing the game.

Yankees in the World Series again? (Yawn!) That's only fun if they lose, so everyone will speculate on who George will fire. :D

11. yankees
If you think the Marlins are boring then you need to watch. They can hit.

I do see a collosal Ugueth Urbina blown save factoring in somewhere.

13. Umm.
They already won the pennant. Now it's on to the World Series, and the Marlins are the better team. That doesn't mean they'll win, of course, but they just might.

23. The Marlins a better team????
why because they beat the mediocre Cubs who won a creampuff division? Because they got some up and comers that no where NEAR compare to the machine that the Red Sox were.

If you want the Marlins to win because you like them...fine. If you want them to win because you are a Yankee hater...fine. But don't delude yourself into thinking they are a more talented team.

29. Sorry.
The Marlins didn't beat a creampuff team. They beat a team with a better record than the Yankees in the 2nd half. And the Marlins have THE best record in baseball since early May. They are good. They are very good. And they are very likely going to take the Yankees out. I hope it goes seven, but I don't think the Yankees can push it that far. And, no, I'm not rooting for either team.

I'm rooting for a tie and lots of injuries. (Nothing career-ending, but painful nonetheless)

Our guys will run out of gas. Yanks in 6. Winning 3 in a row from the Cubs was too much....

Here's to a good clean series, this controversial stuff is distracting...

22. Yankees? October? World Series? Hellooooooooo!
Yanks in six (at most. Maybe five.).

Not taking anything away from the Fish. They are an explosive team on offense, as they showed against the Cubbies.

But this is the Yankees, it's October, you know the rest. Great baseball will be played, watched, and enjoyed.

25. Florida's younger and faste base runners
one thing abot the last series--Boston was NOT a speed, alog with Wakefield and Pedro being the 2 starters who stood out. Florida is LOADED with young, solid pitching. They can run the bases very quickly, and their offense is non stop. If you can beat Prior and Wood back to back in Chicago, you can damn well beat anybody.. The Yankees can' take these guys lightly at all...

26. You do realize you owe Aaron Boone big time
at least a gift-wrapped bottle of Herradura or other fine tequila oughta do it. I mean, the guy literally saved your butt!

I'd say "have him accompany you to New Orleans", but he and 24 of his close friends will be busy spilling "Fish" guts all over the nice clean Stadium.
