West Wing's Charlie

During the West Wing on Wednesday was I the only person to whom it seemed as if the character Charlie in the very beginning of the show seemed different than at the end of the show. It seemed to me that at the beginning of the show Charlie seemed smaller and beardless. By the end of the show it seemed as if he were bigger and had a beard.

I believe last week was the first time Charlie had a beard.

Maybe you saw beardless Charlie on the "Previously on the West Wing" clips at the beginning.
