It's hardly pleasant having to take the thankless task of interruption on oneself either. Have some compassion. Sheesh.

What do you make of the price of tea in Iraq?

At least on here (unless Skinner et al. intervene), I can't be interrupted :-)

I mean, I understand kids interrupt people. They interrupt adults, they interrupt each other. That's why they have to be taught that it's not polite. It takes a while and it takes patience and consistency, but they CAN learn.

However, I have had friends who would let their kids interrupt every one of our conversations repeatedly. The mom could never get a word in edgewise and she'd never SAY ANYTHING to the kid about it!

My daughter has interrupted me and others. And I stop and remind her it's not polite to interrupt and could she please wait until she can say "excuse me" and when recognized, speak.

It's really not that hard of a concept. The same adults interrupting you probably were never taught not to.

And while I'm on this, I hate the way Oprah interrupts every fucking person on her show ALL the damn time. That, and her insipid topics are the reason I stopped watching her a few years back. GAWD, you had the person on your show, now let them fucking TALK!
