to get the right link.
I was an 11-year-old paperboy when the Minneapolis Star serialized the book 1984 back in 1949. It really scared me then. It scares me more now when we have "leadership" with the goal of implementing Orwell's worst fears.

5. I have an ABC radio version of 1984 with Richard Widmark...
...and it's such a departure from the original, I half expected to find musical numbers worked into it the first time I listened.

"...At first I tried to fool-ia,
But one look at your facist tool-ia,
my face those rats might chew-lia,
so I think I'll just turn in Ju-lia!"


(I just made that up. Good for me.)
