I wonder how much radiation I'm getting?

Or something.

I'm sitting at the computer (duh) listening to NPR on a little portable radio. I go through the ritual of waving it around with the antenna extended to find the sweet spot where there's no static.

This doesn't seem to be a constant, and this morning the only static-free spot is on the floor behind my chair.

Of course as soon as I get up to fetch another cuppa joe, the static sets in. I hear it as I walk out of the office, through the bedroom, down the hall, into the living room, and just as I walk into the kitchen, now about 30-40 feet and 3 rooms away from the radio, the static stops and the signal is clear as a bell.

As soon as I leave the kitchen for the return trip, the static starts again and continues until I sit back down in the chair.

I dreamt I was diagnosed with cancer...The treatment was supposed to be radiation. MrG thought it was too expensive ($800 in my dream which I think would be a steal in real life) and asked,"If I sat her in front of the computer for a few hours everday, would that work?"

It is funny how, in my dreams, MrG is always cast in the role of the creep...which is quite the opposite of what he is in real life. I wonder what that says about me?

On topic...I have a radio by my computer and the same thing happens...so we'll be radiated together. :hi:
