1. No wonder you had an anxiety attack with all of that on your plate.

3. I usually hold up pretty well
Everything hit me all at once. It was really scary! I'm used to the waking up at 4am and tossing and turning until 5:30, but this was way different. Hope it doesn't happen again.

Thanks! :)

5. Buying the house alone would be neough to make most people
let alone the possible new job and contract negotiation at your current job.

8. We're moving to a dark blue neighborhood
It's a release more than a stress. We had our financing in hand up front, and our agent is incredible, so that part went smoothly at least.

I've been either unemployed or working freelance for 2 and a half years, and I'm so broke I can't even pay attention. :P A steady paycheck would be nice.

I do look forward to a good night's sleep in the near future, though. :)

4. Infinitesimal dose of Xanax
I really hate happy helmet drugs - the strongest stuff I take is Excedrin Migraine - but this seems to do the trick. I dose myself when I feel it coming on. It makes me dingy, but I also seem to be able to concentrate better, which is very good.

Eddie is one of the outdoor cats, and she had them in a private "tent" we made up for the outdoor crew to have a place to come in out of the weather. There's also a plushy fake lambswool basket under there.

The contract on the house was finalized today. I finally get to get away from my rethug nazi arsehole neighbors who have been trying to run us out of the neighborhood since they moved in. :)

6. Docs gave me a generic form of Xanax
For my panic attacks. They help to a certain degree and I too can concentrate better when I take them.

12. It just got to the point where I needed help
If I can live through this, I can pretty much survive anything. Hope you get better too and the whole panic thing goes away for both of us. :)

19. I felt like I was dying
I'm getting off of it as soon as I can deal with my life sans chemical alterations - well, I'll still drink a bit ;), but I never drink when I'm bummed. I'd make a lousy alcoholic.

21. I've never been on Xanax before
Edited on Sat Apr-02-05 06:15 PM by tammywammy
Well, since I don't have panic attacks.

But, I did take Zoloft for quite a while for depression. I finally broke down to my doctor when I realized my thoughts were getting out of control. Calling my doctor was my breaking point. But when the medicine started working, it changed my life. I could think. I felt better, not a happy zombie, but more like myself.

After I got on medicine, Mom decided to tell me that depression runs in the family (could she have NOT told me that sooner).

I wish the best for you, the house and the new kittens.

7. Have you had enough yet?
It's the curse of Pat Robertson. That's what the 700 club is all about. I had my worst time coincidentally during the time when I was in the 700 club too. Hope things improve for you soon.

10. LOL! I had no idea there was a whole 'nother curse involved
The S.O. was getting ticked off at how much time I've been spending in DU in general and the Lounge in particular, but hanging out with you guys does help keep me together.

Plato just came to sit next to me. He says meow. :)

I actually talk to my cats using their "words" and they seem to respond to me. So please tell Plato I said "meow". Will ya?

P.S. Maybe we can help you through the 700 club and thing's will get better. :)

15. Cats understand everything we say
Plato came over to act cute and puncture my hands with the killer claws (he was kneading - it hurts!). He has a call sign he uses just before he jumps on the bed, and it's the only time he makes that sound. It's cool. :)

Was the anxiety attack because you're in the club ?

18. As short a time as possible - LOL!!!

Gee, I wish my life were that simple! But no, the 700 Club thing is the least of my worries. I just had waaayyyy too much stuff going on this week.

I thought I'd save my first "ask me anything" thread for the occasion, so I don't stay in the 700s too long.

I may get sloshed and do some j. random posting later tonight. :P
