Help me write my MANIFESTO!!!!
I'm going to a friends wedding tomorrow that may turn into a media circus.

I want to bring a long speech to read in front of any camera that may get shoved in my face. I need suggestions for what all to address.

Number one on my list is the Wilson affair aka: TREASON IN THE WHITE HOUSE!

What else should I say???

(p.s. I do have the okay from my friend to do this)

1. talk about the Patriot Act
i think a nice transition from the Treason In the WHite House thing would be to go to the Patriot Act, and the Patriot Act II:The Empire STrikes Back (that is currently on the books). This will weave a tapestry of suspicion over the administration's direction of the country.

You could also talk about Ashcroft wanting to imprison doctors and cancer patients over VOTER APPROVED medical marijuana.

Oh, and do something about the lovely bride and the dapper groom.

2. Bush* lied; soldiers and innocent people died!
Ya gotta include all the lies that led up to the illegal invasion.

3. Skateboarding is not a crime
Wake up in the morning and you pick up your board
Grab your coat and hat and now your heading out the door
So many different places that you know you rather be
But those blue and red flashing lights you hope you never see

You've greased and checked your wheels and your heading down the street
There's no time to think about all the friends your gonna meet
Can't think of a better way for you and your friends to spend the day
And you know the cops are there and they take it all away

Skateboarding is not a crime
But you see it all the time
And the cops will take your board away

All the kids have got to band together
Thats a bond that will stand forever
Look at yourself and know that you can make a change

5. What the hell kind of wedding is that? Bennifer?
What kind of wedding would turn into a media circus other than a celebrity wedding.

7. Boy, that's a hell of a way to get out of a marriage!
"We're having a Hamas-style wedding!"

8. My friend isn't a celebrity, he's a hairdresser.
He isn't the draw...the guests will be the draw.
Somehow the guest list got leaked to the media.
They've promised to respect the privacy of the wedding...but you never know.

;-)

I'm not entirely sure, because he hasn't shared the guest list with ME!

9. Integrate the wedding into your speach...using FUTURE as your basis
Newly wed...new family...what the future holds...whatever you do...integrate it into the wedding.

To make just a political speach out of the context of the event would be foolish IMHO.

12. Well, the "point" (if there was one)
was to be completely off-topic to the ceremony.

If the media show up, it'll be because they want the guests to either talk about the other guests or the signifcance of the ceremony (let's just say it is not going to be a typical wedding).

13. A gist of a manifesto:

Today we see a union.

Bringing together the best and the brightest of the community not to take from the community but to give back - the merger of their talents, joys, and enthusiasm.

Each one can stand-alone and say I am an Island, but they choose instead to join to make their life better, and by their example the community's life better.

Marriage and family life is a communal enjoyment not a selfish - I made mine so screw you…at least not in the 50% of people who stay married.

ET ALL…you get the gist…the communal enjoyment of marriage and family as opposed to the rethug proclamation…hey you, I got mine so screw you!!
