I'm older than you but I bet we have friends in common. I know lots of people who went to FC. My girls swim for Broad Bay CC and lots of the swimmers' parents went to FC.

57. I was on the swim team at Cavalier G&Y Club.

Back in '76. I sucked. I always came in third. I remember swimming at a place called Mallory in Norfolk and at Norfolk Yacht Club. I actually lived in Ghent briefly in 1999. On Leigh St. about two blocks from Starbucks across Hampton Blvd.

I had to walk through snow, up to my waist, just to get to my post grad class. Uphill, both ways. After I chopped a cord of wood. Around 14 years. I keep telling myself that it's dog years.

My first love lived in Norfolk. She worked for a lawyer right across from a shopping plaza which bordered a park on the bay. I flew down on weekends for a couple of years. Unfortunately, she was also dating an aircraft carrier, so the relationship failed.:(

I'm in Beltsville, Maryland. My parents moved to Chesapeake after retirement. My brother, who's on the inland side of Virginia Beach, was already there.

All of us have moved around a lot -- New Jersey, Ohio, Connecticut, North Carolina. But the Virginia Beach area is where I go for vacations now.
