Why all this complaing about the new format??

The new format and site is awesome. It's WAY faster than the old site. It's much cooler looking. We have tons of new features. The search feature is uber-cool. And we can edit the subject line!

So, we have a few bugs. :shrug: It's not like the admin are made of money. We should be thanking them for spending as much time and money on this as they have!

Instead of complaing how about we all buck up and donate five bucks. Heck, I'm an unemployed law student and I manage to donate five dollars EVERY month. Why? Because DU is important to me and I love it. And I know my money is going to help with the updates and the upkeep of this site.

All good things to those who wait!

There are some bugs but the site is still running. Overall, the changes have been good and some bugs are to be expected.

I think the original transtion was so smooth it fooled us all into thinking it would be flawless.

I also would like to point out that while admin is mature and doesn't personalize everything, it really is a slap in the face to be so overly critical about the bugs.

I think people need to remind themselves that on the other side of those screens are other human beings who care about the quality of their product and don't need to be torn down on a daily basis.

I have never been left with the impression that they weren't doing everything they could to address the bugs, slowdowns and problems.

Let's give them a break and show a little appreciation.

It is one thing to disagree, point out a bug or a slowdown but some of the complaints have been lodged in a rather insulting and tactless manner.

Patience is a virtue. And I am not especially known for virtue. :)

It's slow for me.

SOME people don't know when they got it good.

there's no community on the net quite like this. i for one am willing to trade a few extra clicks and a few minutes of my life for what DU has to offer.

Now I am used to this format and like it.
