Censorship on the comics page...

Let's make this into a comics-style "puzzle" -- can you spot the one difference between these two reproductions of yesterday's Get Fuzzy? (And, no, "one is bigger" doesn't count.) The first panel is the original strip, the second is one that ran in many papers and was even found on the syndicate web site.

Could YOU spot the difference? ;-)

It ran in the Boston Globe as "beaver" . . . it doesn't make any sense, otherwise (to omit it, that is) due to what Rob says at the end of the strip. Since WHEN does the word "marmot" have the double entendre that "beaver" has? And Bucky is always pushing the envelope to be "bad." Its part of the strip, ferchrissakes. To change the word to "marmot" is stupid. All meaning is lost!

How stupid can it get? Censorship, that is.
