I am turning my backyard into a campground

I've built a platform and pitched my tent on it, set up a rain tarp overhead, a little chimenia, chairs and a table. As soon as I can locate the cooler and camp stove I'm setting them up too. I plan to sleep out there as often as possible.

I did mention that I live on a 60x100 suburban plot, right?

If it all works out for the summer, I may buy a canvas tipi and set it up back there permanently. Then I could even hang out back there in the snow.

Sound like fun or pure madness?

I once blanket forted my parent's entire living room. When my dad walked in and saw it, he asked, "Where's the T.V.?"

I had to explain to him in my eight year old mindset, "Dad.. The T.V. is on the INSIDE...."

10. Since they started spraying for West Nile Virus

the skeeters have been laid pretty low as far as their numbers are concerned, but you're right. They will come, and sooner than I think.
