Man Falls Asleep While Cooking - Seriously Burned

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- A Hollywood man got seriously burned today when he fell asleep while cooking.

Fire spokesman Matt Phillips says the man suffered burns on 38 percent of his body.

The man was cooking on top of his stove in oil and dozed off. When he woke up he apparently knocked the pan on himself.

Fire Rescue quickly put out the fire. It didn't affect any of the other apartments in the complex.

He was taken to the hospital and will be transferred to the Tampa Burn Center.

6. I have a funny story about a friend of mine

Who started a pizza after the bars.For some reason,he doesn't know why he was naked and passed out.The fire dept was called broke down the door,placed said friend,naked in the hallway of the apt complex,airred the place out put him back in and left.He wakes up the next day finds his door broke down and his bird dead.He asks a neighbor what happened? sorry he asked.Also firemen didn't cover him up just plopped him out there naked.

I'm still trying to figure out how he got in the pan, much less fell asleep in the oil. :)
