I'm thinking of quitting my band. Anyone in Chicago looking for a drummer?
I dig the guys in my band, and playing bass is cool, but I feel a bit creatively stifled. My true and first love is the drums, and I haven't played them in a band in a while. I miss the release that comes from bashing away for hours and hours, and the effect such exercise has on my waistline.

Also, I'm kinda depressed because I know that there's no chance in HELL I'll ever make a living off of being in this band I'm in now, since we play a style of music with very limited appeal (Mod revival, basically: we sound like The Jam, early Who, Buzzcocks, early Costello, etc.) and the rest of the guys are older and not too terribly ambitious (I am!) There are no plans to tour, record, etc.

So....anyone in Chicago need a heavy hitting drummer a la Bonham, Paice, or Bun E. Carlos?

Hedges doesn't play anything besides "the fool," BTW.


Anytime we can get a DU temp band together, I'd be happier 'n" hell!
