1. Ebay fare

I know several people who dumpster dive and sell the stuff on ebay. I couldnt believe they really do that. Had a friend once who did it regularly, I even went with her (in the car, not the dumpster) one night to watch her in action. She found a lot of kids stuff, took it home cleaned it and listed it on ebay. Funny how she described it in her listing as "clean, from a non smoking environment, gently used" and "one of (her kids) favorite toys". Amazing.

Recycling in action.

Definition of an antique: if the dealer owns it, it is. If you own it, it isn't.

But if it came out of a dumpster, whatever you get for it is gravy.

3. My husband got a fully functioning DVD player out of our townhome dumpster

He said he didn't feel like fishing around for the remote though.

But luckily, it is the same brand as ours, so our remote works for both!
