I want all the America-bashing to stop!
Sure, they did copy Neil Young's style a bit on "A Horse with No Name" and the lyrics aren't the greatest stuff, but they more than made up for it with "Sandman" and "I Need You" on the very same album. And most of their later singles ("Muskrat Love" being an obvious exception) were pretty good.

Haha Did you think this was going to be one of those "get a brain morans" FReeper threads? If so, I've succeeded. Anyway, that's my stupid joke of the day! I really do like America (the band), though...

I, for one, stand with those Amer'kun people and stand up for their freedom to make occasionally cheesy but infectious mellow folk-pop. :-)
