A (perhaps) interesting question - what constitutes middle age?
I'm curious to see if "middle age" changes depending upon your own age.

So.....

How old are you (ballpark figure is OK) and when do you think middle age starts?

I'm 51, and I'm in it NOW. :)

1. Me too.
51 and as much as I would like to deny it, my body feels middle aged but my brain still thinks I am 17 until I look in the mirror.

2. Middle age is like pornography
It's hard to define but, by God, ya' know when ya' "see" it! :P

P.S. I'm 45 and I can definitely see it.

3. I'm 49.
IMHO, middle age will officially start in 4 months, when I turn 50!

7. Middle denotes three sections, eh?

And the expected life is around 75, so divide by three.....

Up to 25: Young
25 to 50: Middle age

That's my story and I'm sticking too it.

8. Take the average lifespan and divide it by 2.
For men 72/2= 36
For women 78/2=39

No,that can't be right.

9. Let's see..I'm 41, so middle age starts
when you're in the ground. Any day above ground is a "young" day...

12. Middle Age does not refer to the middle of your life,
but to the middle of your ADULT life. Therefore, middle age is somewhere between 21 and death!
