mmmKay...now I'm PISSED!

So today as we were sitting in class waiting for the professor to arrive (she was really late).

And this group of like 5 jocks are sitting in front of me, talking as loud as possible, laughing like obnoxious dolts, and generally being pretty repulsive. But the worst part of it was what they were saying.

"OH MY GOD, DUDE, DUDE! I was at a fuckin' tittie bar last night *cue obnoxious cackling* and I was like taking photos of these ladies with my camera phone and sending 'em to JOEY! *cue obnoxious banter & laughter* And he was like "DAAAAAAAAAAAMN, NICE TITTIES!!!!!!!" *cue rampant obnoxious laughter*"

Then they started talking about how so and so had a "nice ass" or had "the best tits." All the while saying all this as loud as possible. And intermixed with all this sex talk was talk of computers, and cell phones, and the Sony PSP. (What a mix, huh? :shrug:)

And through all of this, no one else in the class barely flinches. They act like nothing was happening.

Now comes to the part that pisses me off:

I'm gay. And I'd be ready to wager some serious money that if I came into class with 4 of my gay friends, all of us talking and laughing at the top of our lungs about what a nice d*ck the male stripper at the club had last night, and talking about what nice asses we think some guys have, heads would have been turning & there would have been a freakin' riot!

And it's not that I would ever even want to do that, because I'm not that big of a douche, but it's the principle of the thing. God dammit. God dammit to blazes! :grr:

I'm straight, but I don't act that way. We're not all stupid, violent, dissolute morons.

I know the feeling. I ended up having to make a rule with my friends about sex stories: they can tell me they had sex, but no details unless something really funny happens. It's not a bad rule because I never hear about the sex anymore, just the randomly funny things that seem to occur almost daily.

at least they didn't when I was in college twenty years ago. But the jock-types DID do exactly that, just like you're describing. I hate to perpetuate stereotypes, but it was mostly the jocks and athletes who did things like that.

It's been a while (15 years) but the nicer guys stand out much more in my memory. Guys like this just get older and more annoying; they really don't change, sad to say. But I think they are in the minority.

I was travelling back up to university after one of the vacations, two friends were reunited on the train and were sitting behind me. They spent the whole journey discussing their conquests during the break, and how they were going to 'pull' that evening.

I was somewhat tempted to turn round to them and say something along the lines of "well you're both attractive guys , how about coming round to my place, save you all the bother of chasing those damn girls" - just to see their reactions you understand.

I hear that kind of stuff over the head sets every Monday-Friday!! None of the other women want to say anything and some join in. I for one, though not a prude by a long shot, get sick and tired of hearing it!!

That's the behavior of adolescents or pseudo-men in arrested development. The problem is that a lot of folks overhear this sort of thing and encourage it with absolute silent embarrassment.

If the women on your campus have much self respect left those tits they saw in the strip bar may well be the only ones those clowns see this month.

I realize there are always drunken skanks that just want to get laid--and those are the ones these guys get. The smart women know better. You can take consolation in the fact that those dolts you heard will probably sped the rest of their lives with stupid skanks who don't know any better.

What makes this all even more pathetic is that STUPID people are usually dreadful in bed. Take it to the bank, they are gonna have awful sex with skanky drunk chicks for the rest of their lives because that is the best they can do.

You, on the other hand, will probably find yourself a nice young Doctor guy and live happily ever after. And did I mention that he'll probably be fantastic in bed? :evilgrin:

If they're entranced by the fact that you can find naked women in a strip club, then they're idiots. Might as well be shocked to walk outside and find the sky is blue.

Now, if they're telling stories about something just ridiculous happening...well, that's ok. A funny story is a funny story, no matter the setting. :P

P.S. For their sake, I hope they don't get caught with those camera phones in a strip club. That's a big violation of the rules and is liable to earn an asswhipping, not just getting thrown out.

You should've stated, equally as loud, "hey, I heard all those dancers were drag queens. hmm...go figure." He'd have been mortified that he was ogling another guy's ass.

If co-workers came into work and talked about crap like that they would have been in serious trouble with HR.

There is nothing we can do to stop what they do in private, but that conversation in a public place was just wrong. I'm sure you're not the only person who felt uncomfortable listening to that conversation.

And btw, I have no issue with stripper clubs (male and/or female). But it's a personal thing - not something meant for worktime/classroom discussion
