Is it so wrong that I trust her?
I hear Christiane Amanpour on CNN (right now, can't sleep, Pope's Funeral), and I completely trust her. Is this bad?

She seems like a...a DU'er to me. I love her. She seems so honest and real.

*Gush off*

1. LOL . . . here, have some MORE KoolAid . . . and
welcome to DU, MinneapolisMatt (so you like pouty foreign-sounding female voices w/ that touch of exotic look, huh?)

6. I thought KoolAid was a term applied to idiots who fall for neocon lies,
hook line and sinker. I've never heard that term applied to the reporter in question. Why?

2. I trust she doesn't lie
I know she doesn't tell the whole truth all of the time either. But for cable news, she's the best we've got I think.

Welcome! :hi:

3. I think your instincts are good on this.
My impression, too, is that she's very much a Liberal and, as such, a trustworthy journalist. If I'm not mistaken she's married to Jamie Rubin, a State Department official from the Clinton administration.

4. I kinda trust her
as much as I trust any corporate-whore journalists. But I'd rate her a little higher than the others. At least she tries to maintain some integrity and she's got the balls (the ovaries? doesn't sound right) to be where ever the news is happening - no matter how dangerous.

She's a product of the corporate media culture, but she does make an effort at being a good journalist. So I invest a little more trust in her than others.

And not that it matters... but that girl is one hot mama.

Khash.

5. I trust no one on network teevee
"Better than the rest" is still damn faint praise.

7. She doesn't seem too bad.
but I'll bet there are some things she would like to tell us about but for whatever reason, can't.

Didn't some wingnut call her a "war slut" at the beginning of the Iraq war?

8. HAHAHA!
I knew there'd be some good feedback...even at this gawd-awful hour of the night in MPLS.

Honestly, I think Amanpour knows what she's up against, and is just biding her time under all of these freaks. But I have a good feeling about her...she's a truth-seeker.

And I'm gay, so you can't blame it on a crush!

xoxo Matt

9. I love her. She tries to speak the truth even if it means doing it in
a circular way. She complained a while back about journalism now and got spanked. I don't think it stopped her from being a truthful woman. She's a good reporter.
