Congratulate me! My 17-year-old HS Senior......
was notified that she's getting a full-ride, first year scholarship at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. I'm so happy I could just $hit and I'm very proud of my little girl!

I am certain that aside from being incredibly proud of your daughter, you are relieved to not have to worry about footing the bill for an expensive higher education!

Nice for her too - to leave school not completely weighed down by debt (God bless Penn State and my incredibly reasonable $88/mo student loan payments!)

18. It's an Academic scholarship.
When she was 4 years-old she liked to watch Yogi Bear cartoons and sometimes she would say to me, "I'm smarter than your average bear!" Well, I guess she really was! :-)

13. I love to hear these things on DU. Hateful RW lurkers blow a gasket!
They jack off on stories of unemployment, marital distress etc. You woldn't believe. No need to be a psychic to guess what they feel when they see success stories. Keep 'em coming! Graduations Raises Jobs found Happy marriages Cute babies had I want it all! :loveya:

My son, who is getting set to graduate high school as we speak, is clueless. Decent grades but clueless.

Great school too. Good medical school there. I worked for the University of Missouri for six years. A little biased I guess.
