I detest this movie. Scarlet and Rhett - compelling love story, but it's another slavery whitewash - and the author was a sick racist. Sorry to rain on the hilarity.

A girl I know actually complained about this when we went to see the film on the big screen in the late 60's when it was revived. I guess the film version of the novel wasn't thorough enough for her.

I think I just developed Carpal Tunnel doing that.

GWTW is my Star Wars.

How long would the true film version of that novel be?

and to do justice to her business with Frank Kennedy and her ostracization in Atlanta, I say 6 hours. :)

Scarlett's second husband... The movie was good, but no where near as gut wrenching as the book. I was in eighth grade when I read GONE WITH THE WIND for a book report. I read all 1037 pages in three days and felt horribly depressed for a week afterward. I was so darned ticked off at Scarlett for being so smart, but so incredibly DUMB. "I'll think about it tomorrow."

That said, Hats off to Underpants! Your mini version of GWTW rates right up there with Carol Burnett's version. :woohoo: :applause: :rofl:

Sounds way more impressive than Gone With the Wind but then I have no idea what Paradise Lost is about.

Yeah, it was so long ago I'm sure it must be on the old DU, because I searched and didn't find it. Zen Lefty started the thread. Actually it was pretty easy because of all he angel and devil icons, and I used the Tinfoilhat guy to represent God! But yours is truly great, extremely clever!
