What is your least appealing personal quality?
We all have certain traits and qualities that we wish we didn't have or could better keep in check. What are yours? I tend to shoot my mouth off without thinking, and sometimes offending people by doing it. I try not to, but every once in a while, I still do it.

In short I don't have patience for explaining things sometimes. And yet sometimes, I'm very patient. I dunno...

Edit - I can also be moody and sullen at times. This causes my friends to worry needlessly. I'm really just deep in thought and have lots on my mind. I'm not angry or anything. :-)

17. Excessive sensitivity.
I consider it to be both a strength and a weakness. I can often guess how someone is feeling, which can really help in certain situations. But if someone hurts me, I'm down for the count.

If I'm emotionally unbalanced, this trait can cause me to over-protect myself, too. I'm afraid to let anyone get too close. This leads to intense loneliness.

Most personality traits have both strengths and weaknesses.

23. Just one ? HAH !
Um ... I am bluntly honest and will call bullshit no matter what the Politically Correct-ism of the moment may be ...

Runner up: I am entirely incapable of fidelity - I see 'sex' and 'love' as 2 different things, so feel there's nothing wrong with a good natured romp now and again ... it's not done a whole lot for my long-term relationship sustainability.

Oh and I'm also very impatient with - and get really pissed off at - people who can't/won't spell, or double/triple post because they're too lazy to browse a couple pages on a forum before starting a new thread.

31. I have LOW patience for small talk.
Chit chat, you know, how's the weather kind of stuff. I don't mind it when the conversation is starting, but after a couple of minutes, come on people MOVE ON TO MEATIER STUFF!

When I get super nervous (and I have gotten better about this as I've gotten older) I ramble and chatter on and don't stop. As in, no one can get a word in edgewise. As in, when is she going to breathe?

Fortunately, I was really aware of that one and when I'm nervous, I force myself to stop talking, relax, breathe, calm down.

Also, people have told me my whole life I walk around with a dirty look/angry look on my face. I'm not even aware of it. I've had friends think I was angry and I wasn't. Just deep in thought.

36. Story of my life.
Teachers used to put their face in my face and yell "SMILE!" I once heard a woman tell my mom when I was little "that's the most sour-faced child I ever saw."

I really truly am not aware of it. And I found out my dad has had the same problem his whole life. The guy is NEVER angry, but people always think he is.

You and I and people like us just twist up our faces when we're thinking and shit.

LOL. And aren't you a big time introvert like me?

would be a bad temper. That is being worked on. I'm classic Type A. The love of my kids and not wanting them to see me mad has done wonders (along with some select prescription) I went to counseling at one time, but got mad at the psychologist. Really, I did. Don't believe me? Well STFU. Dammit! Sometimes....oh wait, sorry. My bad. I apologize. ;)

39. When talking, I repeat myself.... especially if I am nervous...
I'll say something. And then I'll say it again. And then again. Oh, and then again. My father does this, too, so I am guessing it is a learned trait. I think it it is partially due to the fact that we sometimes cannot remember if we have said something aloud, partially because we want to be sure we have been heard, and then partially because....errr.... I'm not sure.

42. I don't cut people much slack.
There are exceptions when a person becomes very important to me where I do (often it ends up being to my own detriment I've found), but overall, if I feel as though someone wasn't honest with me, my humanity discounted, or I disagree with them strongly on some issue that's really important to me, that's it. It takes a lot for me to trust people and I pretty much just cut and dry say "buh bye" if I'm rubbed the wrong way. Given various experiences throughout my life, self-preservation has become pretty important these days.
