Your most annoying, under-reported Bush act of terror or lie.

Yes, we know the Idiot Usurping Lying Dictatorial Weasel lied about Iraq and 9-11, but what is the most annoying act of terror and/or lie that Bush has done that particularly stuck in your craw?

I'll start: Maggot-face stopped the Agriculture Dept. from reporting the story/investigating the rocket-fuel tainted lettuce,being sold on a regular basis.

Also, (although I could go on for six millennia) the forest fires on the west coast that 'suddenly' started when Bush was pushing the forest thinning program. Even the mainstream media reported that people thought Bush had the arson done to 'enforce' his point.

For a full week after the inauguration Bush and Cheney gave pious quotes to the press about how their souls were infused with humility: "If we're an arrogant nation, they'll resent us," Bush said of the international community. "If we're a humble nation but strong, they'll welcome us. We've got to be humble and yet project strength in a way that promotes freedom."

I didn't see it, but he went on Oprah's show and talked about Laura and the twins in a touching way which may have swayed some voters.
A few months later, Christmas night 2000, Jenna Bush went into the hospital for an emergency appendectomy.
A "family man" would have been at his daughter's bedside, concerned about her health. Instead, Dubya flew to Florida to go fishing with Jebby and Poppy.
When the press asked him about it, he said she could either come to Florida and join them when she was released or she could go home and clean her room.
Doesn't sound like the Dad I would want when I was sick. No wonder those girls are so screwed up.

Jesus, what an ASSHOLE. I mean, I already knew he was one, but this takes the cake. I feel so sorry for his daughters. I hope they straighten out as they grow up and turn into more compassionate people than dear old Dad.

Yes, that 'performance' on Oprah must have swayed thousands of voters. The only skill Bush has 'mastered' is lying.

The Ranger's needed ~ 17 acres to build the park and through the freshly established Texas Stadium Authority 750 acres were taken under "eminent domain" powers given to the Authority (I think that was its title) without having to be voted on by the Texas legislature. The land was rezoned and developed by the Rangers and some of it was sold off, pure profit in their pockets.

The TSA had asked the landowners, many of whom were........farmers, if they would sell it to them and were roundly told NO! So they took it and only paid (with Texas taxpayer money of course) the landowners for 85% of the market value. A lawsuit was needed to be fully compensated and I don't know if it covered the lawyer fees. I think a suit is still going on.

They use focus groups not to determine policy as anyone not elected with a majority have been known to do but for how to package their message (read:spin). The policies were decided a long time ago they just get the empty vessel to read the words that have been tested and approved to sell it and divert attention from the moving of everything far to the right of how it was sold.

I was shocked that this complete, blatent distortion of recent history just slipped by. I can remember reporters being stunned after he said it.
