Got my poor ol gray-haired dadddy who drives my limosine
and we take all kinda pills that give us all kinda thrills
but the thrill we've never known...is the thrill that'll getcha when ya get cchur picture on the cover of the rollin stone

1. I've got a genuine Indian guru - he's showing me a better way

2. Well, we're big rock singers,
we've got golden fingers
And we're loved everywhere we go! (that sounds like us!)
We sing about beauty and we sing about truth
At ten thousand dollars a show
We take all kinds of pills to give us all kinds of thrills
But the thrill we'll never know
Is the thrill that'll getcha when you get your picture
on the cover of the Rolling Stone!

Chorus

I've got a freaky old lady named Cocaine Kady
Who embroiders all my jeans
I got my poor 'ol gray-haired daddy driving my limousine
Now it's all designed to blow our minds
But our minds won't really be blown
Like the blow that'll getcha when you get your picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone

Chorus

We got a lot of little teenage blue-eyed groupies
Who'll do anything we say
We got a genuine Indian guru who's teaching us a better way
We got all the friends that money can buy so we'll never have to be alone
And we keep getting richer but we can't get our picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone

Chorus

I grew up with my stepdad playing that album, and particularly that song, over and over and over. I know every song on it by heart, yes, even Freaker's Ball, lol.

3. Rock 'n' roll!!!!
I love that song.

A foreshadowing of Spinal Tap, even.

They finally made it, too:
