3. Looks like an excellent collection
I could do without a couple of them but that is more my personal taste than any problem with the film.

5. agreed...
I'd swap out a few if I could. But it was $179 for the set... that's 10 bucks a movie. Can't beat it.

13. I would say that is an excellent price
I am waiting for a list now from a friend of mine, his sister has landed a job with Touchstone pictures doing of all things location scouting. But being an employee of one of the Mouse's companies means that they can buy any film made by a subsidiary for $3.00. That means Disney, Miramax, Touchstone, etc. So once we get the updated list on what is available a shopping we will go.

4. I saw Mrs. Miniver at the Tivili Theater in Chattanooga
in the late 1970s. The Tivoli is a restored grand theater: twin marble staircases, gold gilt trim., opera boxes: a magnificient turn of the century classic restored!

I watched from the balcony seats! Mrs. Miniver had been screened there during its premier run!

Greer Garson!

6. Have you seen the carousel in Chattanooga?
The park around the carousel is fantastic. We always spend a day at the park when we visit Chattanooga.

14. Yes! Coolidge park is wonderful!
I grew up in Chattanooga. I remember when that area was very different. The private girl's school that I attended is on the river just down the street from the carousel!

You must get the book about the carousel. All of the animals were hand carved by different individuals in a workshop in Chattanooga. I think that one of my mom's friends carved one of them.

As a professional land planner, I am super impressed by the parks, greenways, downtown streetscapes, the museums and the aquarium. There is so much old money in Chattanooga that much of the work was privately funded!

16. Everytime we go, I ride the frog.
And I bought an original painting of it the last time I was in Chattanooga.

We always stay in a train car at the Choo Choo. It's a beautiful town. :D

22. I love the Frog but...
the horses are my favorites! I also like the "Uncle Sam" ostrich!

I was a waitress at the CCC when I was in high school!

My family and friends are there in Chattanooga.

It is a special place.

7. Jeez, Dookus. You scored big with this one.
AMADEUS alone would have been worth the enthusiasm.

But 17 more besides!?! Hells bells & bravo!

11. Amazon does have some good prices most of the time.
I just ordered John Greyson's LILIES -- originally a play (like Amadeus) but about two gay men divided by power games of two or three different characters. Really good stuff.

21. Song: PATRICK SWAYZE CHRISTMAS from MST3K
Episode: 321- Santa Claus Conquers The Martians

Crow: Okay, now if you'll all look at your sheet music, uh, we can rehearse my new song.
Joel: You wrote a Christmas song?
Crow: Hey, there's no tradition like a new tradition! Ha ha ha!
Tom (reads sheet music): Um, wait a minute. "Let's Have a Patrick Swayze Christmas?"
Crow: Oh, yeah, yeah. Based on my favorite movie, “Roadhouse.”
Tom: C'mon, what the heck does PATRICK SWAYZE have to do with CHRISTMAS?
Crow: Hey you keep Christmas in your way, and let me keep it in mine, ok?
Tom: Oh, jeeessz!
Joel: Hey, cmon, Tom Servo, it seems like a nice enough sentiment and we can give it a shot. C'mon.
Crow: All right. Okay. Okay. Uh, 12/8 time, uh, key of A-flat major!
Tom: Oh, good!
Crow: Uh, cambot, shoot 'em the tune. Uh, okay, you'll just have to stay with me, everybody, okay? Your part's written out. Let's have a Patrick Swayze Christmas, by Crow T. Robot.
Joel (reading music sheet, as Letterman): "Paul, let's have a Patrick Swayze Christmas"?
Crow: Right. Hit it, Cambot!
Tom: Oh! Oh, I start. I get it. Hmm.
Crow: I'm sorry.
Tom: Pick it up. (singing)
Open up your heart and let the Patrick Swayze Christmas in.
Crow: We'll gather at the Roadhouse with our next of kin.
Joel: And Santa can be our regular Saturday night thing.
Bots: We'll decorate a barstool and gather round and sing.
Tom: Oh, let's have a Patrick Swayze Christmas this year!
Crow: Or we'll tear your throat out and kick you in the ear!
Joel (interrupting): Hold it, hold it a sec. Cambot, stop the music. Uh, Crow, I don't know if I think this is an appropriate sentiment anymore for Christmas.
Crow: Hey, what? Like a good action sequence don't belong in Christmas?
Joel: Well, no, it's just that I've never heard of an action sequence in a Christmas carol before.
Tom: Yeah!
Crow: Well, then grab hold o' your socks, Joel Robinson, and read on!
Tom: Okay, pick it up from measure 20, Cambot. (music)...Lovely intro, though. Very tasteful.
Crow: Thank you.
Tom: I like that. (singing)
It's my way or the highway, this Christmas at my ba-ha-haar.
Crow: I'll have to smash your kneecaps if you bastards touch my car!
Joel: I got the word that Santa has been stealing from the till.
Bots: I think that that right jolly old elf had better make out his will ohh!
All: Oh, let's have a Patrick Swayze Christmas, one and all.
And this can be the haziest...this can be the laziest...
This can be the Swayziest Christmas of them AAALLLLLLLLLL!"
Tom: La la la laa ha HAAA!
Crow: How long before it becomes a standard?
Joel: I think you gotta come with me. C'mon. (Grabs Crow and exits.)
Crow: Waaaaah!
Tom: We'll be right back. Save a leg for me! Heh heh heh!

PS - Boy do I miss this show.
