I'm trying to think of a way to make some bucks off this cat love thing...

Do you think if I started a stretch limousine business that guaranteed a box of cute cuddly kittens in each limo for the passengers to love and cuddle with while they're being chauffered around, that my business would be fantastic?

How about if I opened an internet cafe where you can rent computer time plus for a few extra bucks you get a nice fat neutered male cat to lay in your lap and purr while you surf the web?

How about if I open a fresh seafood market and above the food displays have a little catwalk where my specially trained crew of domestic shorthairs roam and patrol, pointing out to the customers the choicest selections by the amount of meowing and swiping with their paws they do?

How about if I just flat out steal an idea from the old National Lampoon magazine and start publishing a magazine that each month featured a cute cat looking trepidaciously at someone pointing a gun at their head with the caption, "If you don't buy this magazine, we'll shoot this cat?" Of course we wouldn't actually do that, but we want the customer to think so!

Steal someone's cat (preferrably someone rich), and demand a ransom for the cat's return. Show them that you mean business. Send them a claw to let them know the cat is still alive if you need to.

a no-kill animal shelter. You know, where they don't kill the animal themselves but if they are not adopted within a certain time frame they send them to someone who does the dirty dead for them.

You should be able to make a few dollars off of anyone gullible enough to believe the premise.

...one about a kitty internet cafe. Just have a cafe full of kitties who hang around. Thats actually a pretty good idea, and someday, you'll end up kicking yourself in the ass, when you read about someone else opening up the "Kitty Kafe".

I am focusing on the happy times with her! She so totally rocked.

On retrospect my whole thread is insensitive, and I wish I could take it back...I thought it could be humorous without considering some folks would just not think it funny.

I am really and truly sorry about your loss of Tinkie, I did not know, you really have my empathy, the first cat I ever had died while I was hugging him (Leukemia)

I love cats and have had four, two still with me, plus I found homes for two others.

I lived for 5 years with... liberation people and I've gone out on ocean jettys trying to rescue abandoned cats...amongst other things...

But the problem is overwhelming and too many people just don't give a shit...
