I'd say I'm resonably paranoid. As the owner of a store that sells adult products, I routinely card 30yolds. Even if you have been in the store a dozen times, if there is any doubt in my mind that you could be under 18, I'll card you.

Because you might be working for the cops, and you can provide me a good fake ID - I can't be charged if I card you, but the one time I let you back without an ID I've seen dozens of times - I go to jail. It pisses some people off because they know I know who they are. Or even the ones I don't know that "forgot" their ID

I am also hyper-complient when it comes to taxes and regulations. Hey, technically I can be arrested for a felony for any movie I sell - so I don't need any other problems.
