Does anyone play online poker?
If so, I play at partypoker.com or at empirepoker.com. My name at Party POker is Zuni23 and at empire I am zulu23.

If you want to play I am online at Empire. I usually play No Limit Hold Em, PL Omaha or 7 card Stud 5/10 in Play Money

It is all free---you can play for play money at both sites

1. You owe me $50
Pay up!!!

Just kidding. Please don't post ads for poker websites, no matter how much you like to go "all in."

Of course, "all in" used to mean something else in my day. Just ask my girlfriend. ;)

6. May I ask a question?
What's to keep people from calling up their buds on the phone or internet voice comm. to cheat people by teaming up?

7. It is called collusion,
. . . and I don't know if it can be prevented, but it won't give you a big edge, but maybe a little one.

I won't give details, because it is blatantly unfair.

9. All they can really do is tell each other what their hands are - so ones
with worse cards fold, but that doesn't stop me from taking thier money.

10. nothing stops them, this is how the professionals make money
Most of the professional gamblers I know are on the blackjack side of the business but, yeah, there are plenty of poker teams to exploit the naive online poker player who thinks the games are honest. You're supposed to sign an agreement (well, really just initial an online agreement) saying you're on your honor not to share information about your cards with other players. Like that is going to stop anyone from making a living. If you're there for entertainment, and the other guys are there to put food on the table, they're going to do what they need to do.

I'll be honest. I don't really care if someone who wants to play with invisible cards get cheated, and the government doesn't care either. There is point beyond which you can't protect someone who is determined to throw his money in the garbage. If the person feels he's getting value for his entertainment dollar, then fine.

and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.

12. Thanks for the warning, but . . .
. . . I am not as worried about it as you seem to be.

Since I play the lowest buy in tables on the site, I doubt that I will run into any of these people, there is just not enough money on the table to make it worth while.

It would be easy to catch them in my opinion since it would require several if not most of the players at the table to be in cahoots. If you were playing higher stakes, and you noticed the same names showing up together, you could inform the site who would hopefully monitor their activities and ban them if necessary. There are anti-collusion measures built into the system like a prohibition for multiple accounts, so they could not change identities quickly. I am sure there are ways around them, but at least they will slow them down.

As usual, let the buyer beware!

5. I play at Party Poker everyday.

I thought there was an issue with signing up for both Party Poker and Empire. Did you do it from the same computer with the same name and e-mail address?

I came up with a handy easy to use chart that rates all 169 starting hands on a scale of 1-10. I just posted it as a web page with some other information included:

Texas Holdem Poker Starting Hand Odds Chart

BTW: I came up with a method to earn bonus dollars without really gambling or risking much money. If you e-mail me lfairban@columbus.rr.com I will tell you about it. It should work out real good for someone who wants to play for money eventually, but is not ready yet.

11. I play at PartyPoker on a regular basis...
NL Hold 'Em. PM me if you would like my user ID. I have several friends who play and would love to get a 'live' online tourney, filling up a private table with people I 'know'.

I've been playing some of the freeroll tourneys using my Player's Club Points... good stuff.
