I had over 1,600 emails when I came back from vacation
I was email-free for about 3 weeks.

Only about 10 of the emails were spam. (I go to extreme lengths to be free of spam).

I am now down to 576 due to a program of mass-deletion.

Eventually, my goal is to actually read some of them.

1. Next time, you might want to send an email
notifying people of your pending absence from the internet, unless you like having all that mail.... :hi:

2. Yes, but there are a few things
1) Many of those are from mailing lists.
2) Maybe I don't want the world to know I'm not home and my house is ripe for being robbed.
3) Many of those emails are from right-wing hate groups that I'm subscribed to under aliases.

But you're right, I should have notified more people than I did.

3. Never tell them you're going on vacation.
Either say you'll be away from your office or that you will be without a computer for awhile.

If you're subscribing to RW hate groups under aliases, I can see why you need a vacation!

4. What's up with that line drawing? It's interesting and vaguely familiar.

5. It's the one Carl Sagan helped design for the plaque on the Voyager probes

Wouldn't it also make a great tattoo?
