Crash Test Dummies
God Shuffled His Feet is excellent, excellent stuff.

Excellent.

"Swimming In Your Ocean"

When I'm sampling from your bosom
Sometimes I suffer from distractions like
Why does God cause things like tornadoes and train wrecks?

When I'm swimming in
When I'm swimming in your ocean
Floating aloft on creams
An scented lotions
I can get pretty side-tracked
I hope you'll understand

When I kneel before your bounty
Sometimes I wonder if there could be really
UFO's that come from other planets

And when you let me taste your fingers
I take them like fruit and as I linger I
Wonder if my seed will find purchase in your soil ...

New album coming out this week, too.

1. One hit wonder
There is definitely something wrong with this guy.
He is obsessed with hospitals, disease and other morose
plonk. Cool photo.

2. Hey who isn't?
I wouldn't say "One hit" maybe under-valued. I never liked their stuff a lot. But, I saw the value.

3. One hit wonder?
Um....not really. They're a Canadian band, and have had a string of hit albums from the early 90s. They don't get played much on corporate radio on this side of the border, but they're certainly successful.

What little I've heard of the new album is pretty resminiscent of God Shuffled His Feet (a good thing). Lots of smart, literary lyrics, and Brad Roberts' spine-rattling baritone. Good stuff.
