17. These plants were chosen for their drought-resistance.
Summers here tend to be dry. So I need something that isn't going to need too much water. I don't know much about lilacs and their temperment.

16. Those are really beautiful pics!
My lilacs are in bloom, my mock orange is blooming and so is my daphne. It smells heavenly. :) That is, if it would stop raining long enough for me to go outside and actually enjoy it. :D

A friend of mine and fellow DUer did the lion's share of the work. He also selected the plants.
