Poll question: So with the bankruptcy bill passed by corporate representatives,
what will you do if the tragedy happens to befall you?

3. Don't look up that list of who voted for it.
You'll be shocked.

I certainly was. Shocked and betrayed.

5. Trouble is, we can't vote them out.
Otherwise we've voting repuke. (or so I've been told countless times.)

We're stuck voting for them and, let's face it, there are still many decent Dems around. Saw a couple on CSPAN when flipping channels last week.

Now if only the same Dems would do more to ensure offshoring doesn't happen, then I won't have a problem with people voting for the thing. A level playing field is good. Skewing it is not good. :-( Maybe some who voted Aye think the system is ethical right now. (Noooo, it isn't.)

6. they're great collusion' in dc to say the very least...
it is often not enough to rely on old jimmy stewart movies to discern between the good guys & the bad guys...and gals. i don't think we'll be needing to vote republican; just be more certain to cull the pride for more bona fide candidates able to vote our conscience imo.

7. Oops. A clarification on my part for my own mistake:
I mean if we not vote or vote 3rd party, the old cliche of "A vote against Dems is a vote for repukes" is suggested.

That's why we're stuck voting Dem. No other party is as remotely as viable.

9. The answer is a primary challenge, then
I'm fortunate in being represented by Howard Berman in the House, and Boxer/Feinstein in the Senate. Berman almost always votes the way I would, and Boxer and Feinstein are much better than most of the Senate.

But if your Congresshuman is voting for the GOP's agenda, then you have to organize locally to get a strong, progressive primary challenger. A strong enough challenge will at least scare your Rep into realizing he/she has to move a little to the left.

Most of mine are genuine repukes though, but I will keep your idea in mind.
