3. Yes. But not a heart attack.
Turns out there is something on my lung making my heart race, my chest hurt, and my white blood cell count skyrocket.

The dr thought it might be an odd pnuemonia (that's what he said, anyway but who knows?). If I didn't have to come back and take care of the pooch, I would have been admitted on the spot (on the spot to investigate the spot but I have to feed Spot).

Oh yea. He gave me pain medication and my language skills need some work.

25. If he mentions a bronchoscopy
which he almost assuredly will, tell him that a nurse told you to ask for Versed (as long as you aren't allergic). Good luck tomorrow and I hope they figure it out quickly.

16. If They're Doing a WBC Scan, I Can Give You A Head's Up On That
I had part one today, where a large quantity of blood is extracted, the white blood cells are separated and 'tagged' with a radioactive isotope and reinjected. After they've been allowed to circulate (they're waiting 16 hours for me, and they let me go home), a series of scans will be done to see where the white blood cells are congregating, which will give them an idea of where an infection or abcess or problem with the WBC itself is. It doesn't hurt, but the scans take about an hour or so.

My WBC count is high enough that they're suspecting leukemia/lymphom (again) but it wasn't the last time it was this high. I hope that you have a similar story - disturbing start with a big relief at the end!

23. I am glad you took care of it ASAP-
it's a lot of people's tendency to try and wait it out, showing a similar distate for hospitals.

We'll all be thinking about you today!
