3. I have always thought/In the back of my mind/Cheese and onions
I have always thought
That the world was unkind
Cheese and onions

Do I have to spell it out?

C-H-E-E-S-E A-N-D O-N-I-O-N-S
Oh no

Man and machine
Keep yourself clean
Or be a has-been
Like a dinosaur

Man or device
For everything nice
You better think twice
At least once more...

Neil Innes is brilliant. Not only does he look like John Lennon, but he's done some of the best Beatles knockoffs this side of Oasis.

4. I Seem To Remember About Them
I remember hearing about them in the late 1970's, as a fictitious group based on the Beatles, featured in some movie or TV show. Is that correct?

6. Yes, it was a parody...
...of the Beatles, I think it was the brainchild of Eric Idle. They made a TV special (it was produced by Lorne Michaels, and so had cameos by many early SNLers). Although it was very funny, and had a lot of in-jokes that perhaps only people who were fourteen-year-old girls in 1964 would get, what made it great was the music. They issued a full album of songs that were dead-on parodies of Beatles songs, sounding amazing like real ones but with very silly lyrics. The guy who wrote the music and played the John Lennon type, Neil Innes, is brilliant! You can probably still get the show on tape, but look for the album...it had song styles covering their entire career, from "Hold My Hand, Yeah Yeah" to "Cheese and Onions" ( a Lennonesque piece). You could play it for someone and tell him or her that it is a newly discovered Beatles collection, I swear!

10. Yeah
I have the video and record..and then the CD.
My favorite is when a deaf reporter claimed they said they were bigger than God, but what was really said was that they were bigger than Rod. Rod Stewart wouldn't have a hit for many years later..or something like that.
