Anyone else think dvds/dvd players are a pain?
I had the same vhs video system for 10 years without any problems.

As soon as I switched to a dvd player I've needed a new one
every 1-2 years - the damn things keep breaking.

Some dvds stick, they skip, some are fussy about what player they
are played on, the sound does weird things. I don't have a fancy
5.1/6.1 sound system and it seems the dialogue is swallowed by
the music/sound-effects on many dvds :(

Am I just unlucky here or do other ppl have as many problems
as me. I really love movies but the whole dvd thing has let
me down many, many times. On the plus side - the picture is
plenty nice :)
