Next week is Staff Appreciation Week. It's quite nice and I don't take it for granted. The firm does all kinds of fun stuff for staff all week.

The schedule was just distributed, and attached to the bottom is a $1 gift certificate for the firm store, a "LF Buck." It reads:

This LF Buck is good toward the purchase of any item from the LF Store. Only one (1) LF Buck may be redeemed per employee/per purchase. LF Buck only valid for purchases at the LF Store.

Anyone else ever worked at a law firm? Got a tale to share?

Granted, I wanted to hire Bruce Cutler before signing my "I have read and accept..." statement when I received it, but I must admit, for a law firm, this place is pretty cool. The lawyers are all young, fun, and everyone here tries pretty hard to have a good time. My COO is a hoot, as well.

Most tales I have involve alcohol and happy hour, the futon in the "relaxation room" or burnt popcorn.

It's small though so we don't have anything like that. But we did pretty well last year for Secretary's Day (or whatever the PC-term for it is now -- Admin. Asst. Day or something.)

Got a $50 gift certificate to J&R music world.
