NEW YORK -- There are some complications for "The Simple Life."

Paris Hilton said she and Nicole Richie are on the outs. She's released a statement saying, "It's no big secret" the two are no longer friends.

But the hotel heiress refuses to reveal the cause of the spat. She'll only say, "Nicole knows what she did."

Last week, the 24-year-old told USA Today that another friend will replace Richie on the next installment of the reality show.

Fox has denied planning a casting change for season four. A network statement said producers are reviewing the show's "creative direction."

Last night, it was hilarious. They had to intern at the Atlantic City fire department. The chief was a gruff old bastard, and the girls were as stupid as ever. They talked a group of buff firemen into taking off their clothes and posing for photos, which the girls snapped with a polaroid camera, for a fireman calendar.

Well, the gruff old chief came in and jumped all over them and the firemen. One of the firemen was standing naked with a firehose strategically wrapped around him, with the nozzle dangling in the most obvious place.

It was funny as hell.

I heard that the producers are going to replace Nicole with Paris's sister. No way will the show be as funny as it is now.

I watch it with my son. We both think it's hilarious.

Sounds like Nicole is over the whole world of Paris.

A friend of my works in "the industry" and his co-worker worked at Elton John's Oscar party handing out the gift bags. So here some scoop.

1. Paris Hilton marched in like she owned the place, blabbing loudly on her cell phone. She RIPPED the gift bag out the ladies hands with out even a thank you or kiss my ass.

2. Nicole Richie arrived later and was very sweet. Thanking her for the gift bag and acted like an adult, the complete contrast to the Hilton creature. (we are allow to say 'creature'?)

3. Elizabeth Taylor was also there and she is not in good health. Contrary to the short film clips of her at this event, she's really not doing well at all.

I have watched the show and I think Nicole has so much more personality and is a lot funnier then Paris. It seems Nicole has grown up some and Paris still wants to just say "That's hot"

Nicole butted in on Paris's buakake. Paris doesn't like to share.
