*WHEW* We GOT THE HOUSE!!!

I have never seen a rental take so long. Hell I have rented places just by giving them a check first amongst several people standing IN the apartment.

We are going to rent right now and not buy. Several reasons:

With my wife being pregnant we just wanted to get this check marked off the "TO DO" list
Carting my wife around in her pregnant state would not have been too great.
We didn't want to get caught up in closing problems with a house and with a possible house market bust coming (my wife read up on that not me) I didn't want to be holding a note for more than a house is worth.
Lastly we wanted to make sure we had plenty of cash and we didn't want to be "house poor"

So I'm going to be a suburbanite....again. This commute is going to kill me I swear.

Three bedroom/two bath/ trilevel (60's era)/WD in the HOUSE!~!!!!!(boy is that going to be great)/Dishwasher (had to have that)/ rec room office TV room downstairs/nice big bright kitchen/dining room/ living room (useless I suspect)/ attic (STORAGE!!!)/ and a yard (to cut but also to enjoy my wife is going to plant a garden

How is the wife feeling these days?

She (as is her wont) was really stressing over not hearing for a couple of days. The yoga is really helping.

Advice that I wish someone would have given me?
