Sirius or XM Radio?....
Which is better and why?

I hate... no despise "talk radio" so that's not a factor.

I'm guessing that music programing and choice of channels is pretty much the same.

I'm wondering more about the quality of service and more importantly, which one will win out in the end.

1. I have XM

Tons of music selection. I installed it myself, and it was pretty easy. The sound quality is good, only fades in two areas where I go under a couple of overpasses.

I got a really good deal on it. If you're interested in XM I can get you a good hook up (totally legit through the XM website), just PM me.

2. The XM came with my car
I didn't expect to like it so much but now I always have it on. It's great.

3. Bob Edwards is only on XM
which is precisely why I got a satellite radio. The show is very good sometimes and kinda not on a topic I care about other times, but it's always great to hear Bob, I soooo miss him every morning.

I haven't explored much of the music, but I understand it's good. Mostly I listen to XMPR and America Left.

Reception is always great.

6. Air America just signed with XM
Still not sure if it's an exclusive deal or not... I've heard conflicting reports. If you're not a fan of talk radio, it may not be an issue.

Sirius lets you stream all their music stations to your home computer for FREE as part of your subscription... not sure if XM does. But depending on the sound system of your computer, that may mean you don't need to buy a home unit to enjoy it at home and/or at work.

8. That's good to know...
Either way, the online feed is an extra value to keep in mind when deciding whether or not to get satellite radio.
