Poll question: What Percent Of Your Email Is SPAM?
Do you use a spam filter of some sort, or do you just weed through and find the important stuff by hand?

My mail client is Eudora and it's got a "trainable" spam filter. Whenever junk mail makes it through to your in-box, you can flag the message as being SPAM and its characteristics are added to its database. Conversely, if something gets flagged as spam, then you can train the program to recognize mail you want to receive as well.

At first it was sort of hit-n-miss... but as time goes on the program has gotten more accurate about spotting real spam. Still not perfect, but better than doing it by hand.

Of all the email that I receive, about 70% is SPAM.

1. I get very little spam
but the Norton filter gets most of it and it was rather easy to 'train'. The gmail I have isn't in outlook and it's almost all spam.

4. Need a tenth of a cent charge per e-mail sent
That would kill spam, or a least bring it down to a dull roar.
