How did you find out about DU?
My Dad posts here and he told me about it. I lurked for almost a year 'cause I'm shy. Now here I am.

I was so upset in 2001 that I didn't watch any inaugural activities. I was super depressed and just turned off the TV.

I got run out on a rail the first time I came in, but I tried again almost a year later and folks had simmered down enough to let me stay. *g*

8. Post 9/11 - Run up to the Iraq War, summer 2002....
Seemed like the media had been taken over by the right, so I looked for some non-RW media. Did a search on google at a library (didn't have a computer) and found "Top Ten Conservative Idiots."

Lurked for about nine months, then became a member in spring 2003. There was more action here and more variety and weirdness than at Bartcop or Buzzflash, the other sites I visit everyday, so I stayed.

10. Somehow I stumbled upon DU while searching for fellow Dems
on the internets during the fall of 2003. I think that I linked to DU from a blog. Maybe it was DailyKos. I don't quite remember.
I lurked for about a year before I got brave enough to sign up and post. I had no idea what I was doing since I'd never posted before!
This is the only place that I've ever posted online.

I used to read a webcomic called Boy Meets Boy over at Keenspace.com. Someone on the message board (were I lurked but never posted :shrug:) posted a link to her blog. From there I descovered Savage Love (by Dan Savage) and Democratic Underground.
