there are quite a few of us here...lets do this. it was attempted a few years back, but the election in '02 stopped that....nothing happening now...lets do this...i am anxious to put faces with names here....orlando seems like a good place to do it at...right in the dead middle of the state.....seriously...lets plan this and do it....anybody else feel free to throw their hat in, i will do whatever is asked of me....c'mon florida DU'ers.....lets show those new englanders what a meet-up is all about!!!!

we have to find out where people are, a date thats good for as many people as possible and a location thats easy and accessible for all involved......orlando is in the middle of the state, but if you've ever seen all the congestion on I4...whew!!!...daytona has a lot of hotels and will cost less, is also centered, has a nice beach you can drive on and has the daytona intl speedway...the mecca of all redneck right wingers...i think it would be great to have a few hundred progressives meet at daytona USA...lol...same could be said about tampa too.....i should probably make another post in the states forums and see what happens.....i posted this early this morning and it had dropped almost to the archives by 2pm.......thats not promising...lol....

It's under construction in several locations (actually, I can't remember a time when it wasn't under construction). Some of it is restricted to one lane and there are constant logjams. They try to keep the times when they stop all traffic between 8pm and 6am and then they only do it for a few minutes at a time. Central Florida is a victim of it's growth. Be advised, use I-4 if you have plenty of time and a good deal of patience.
