How cheap will gas get again??
DO you holding out some hope and some faint falacy that the US will enjoy $1 a gallon gas again??

I say we will never see cheap gas price again, unless of course, this country goes into a depression and few can afford even $1 gas.. Think of the possibilities..

1. $1.70-1.80. It'll never go any lower, at least not for three years.
This is my opinion. The Oil Cartel running the WH and country won't allow this to happen. I saw a report on TV the other night (can't remember which show), that said the oil companies have made so much money in profits the last 18 months that, "They don't know what to do with all of the money."

2. Never again..
Now they know what we will pay. They know we value gas over lame things like food.

Spontaneous collusion ensures great profits for them while we make Top Ramen sexy.

8. They already knew what we would pay.
It has not been a secret. Gas has always been one of the (if not the most) inelasticly demanded goods. They are, however, seeing the beginnings of the move away from the huge gas guzzlers (Hummer sales down) and more towards the hybrids (Prius way up) which shows that there are limits.

Not going to happen. I would say there is a far greater chance that gas prices are closer to $3.00 a gallon in a year than back to what they were a year ago (around $1.50 a gallon) let alone around a $1.

7. Well I am not sure. Have they got the money from the tax refund?
I am sure if you got a tax refund or cut this will eat it up. After all why should you have all that extra money? Did you see what Land Corp. did?

9. Yes, when you change to the metric system....

Stop your whining...

US example: Average gas price today is 2.24 a gallon. A gallon equals 3.785 liters which equals 59 cents per liter (appro. SEK 7 to 1 US). This means an average US gas price of SEK 4.13 per liter.

Sweden: As of tomorrow the average gas price at Statoil (which is followed by everyone) is SEK 10,86 appr. 1.55 US per liter. This means that tomorrow a gallon of gas in Sweden will cost 5.87 US.

11. I was thinking the same thing this morning
The cost per barrel has dropped quite a bit this week, but the price at the pump is going up!

14. What kills me is
when I see per barrel go up I see it at the pumps almost the next day or a few days afterwards, I see per barrel down their is no change.

What is really pissing me off is that all the gas stations in town have the exact same price and they change them on the exact same day. I know they pretty much get the same gas from the same place and have the same transporation costs but if I had one gas station I would lower the price 6 cents and make a killing, but these gas station owners are morons.
