Bo Bice completed drug diversion program after 2001 Alabama bust

APRIL 28--One of the five remaining "American Idol" finalists was once arrested for felony cocaine possession, but had the charge dismissed last year after completing a so-called "diversion program" for first-time offenders, The Smoking Gun has learned. Harold "Bo" Bice, 29, was busted in June 2001 by Huntsville, Alabama cops and hit with the drug count, a Class C felony, according to the below warrant (Bice posted $1000 bond and was released from the Madison County Jail). After being postponed for a week at the request of prosecutors, a District Court preliminary hearing was set for August 29, 2001. But when a Huntsville Police Department investigator did not show, Judge Susan Moquin dismissed the Bice case, according to a court docket.

Talk about controversy this season.. first Mario leaves for no reason. Then it comes that Scott had been charged with domestic violence, then shockingly Constantine is voted off(it is shocking damn it!)... and now Bo does coke? WHOA! :o

He really grew on me. I actually started to like him. He brought excitement to the show.

I cannot believe that he was voted off BEFORE Anthony OR SCOTT!! Scott should have been voted off weeks ago...seriously, he should have never made it to the final 12. (He was such an asshole in the lead-up to the final 12. He treated the guys who were assigned to his singing group really badly.)

But now this with BO! What the hell is the world coming to when an Alabama rocker does coke? ;-)

Scott had some felony abuse charges dropped when he did a plea bargain and they kept him in the game. I think Bo deserves to be applauded for completing this diversion program and persumably staying clean.

...they may have raised the age, but lowered the ethical bar ! But Scott should have been dismissed by now right? Didn't they send a kid home last season for hitting his sister!?!

I just don't get it. But I highly suspect fraud and the websites that are popping up encouraging people to vote for the "least talented".

I love the idea that AI could and should be about the American Dream, Rags to Riches type of stories we Dems just love. But they gotta stop eff'ing with those kids.
